2017 Winter Holiday Newsletter

As we approach the end of the first semester, it’s time to share the success stories of our students. Some of our high school students have presented their latest report cards, and it is our pleasure to report that they have improved in all areas of learning. The success of our centre did not happen overnight, it is as a result of the collective hard work put in by our teachers, students and parents like you.

Furthermore, we would like your feedback on your child’s academic performance. If you are not satisfied with your child’s performance at school, please discuss his/her progress with your child’s teacher and/or bring your child’s report card to us so that we can evaluate and identify possible opportunities for improvement. We are also willing to communicate with his or her teacher, if necessary, in order to determine what steps may be taken. Our only goal is to make certain that your child learns and works towards improving his or her grades. We are committed to providing quality supplemental educational services to ensure that the children’s learning needs are met. Therefore, we always welcome your questions and feedback.

The ultimate success of any student depends upon his or her level of participation, focus, interest, and hard work. It is important that you continually monitor how your child is learning at school. If your child has difficulty doing his or her homework in Math or English or any other subjects that you have assigned, we recommend that your child bring his or her homework to our centre so that we can assess the needs of the child and provide necessary assistance. The success of your child’s education is a derivation of the collective teamwork and cooperation amongst the teachers, the parents and the students.

We recently updated our website and invite you to visit us at www.mississaugalearna.ca. Any class closure due to severe weather or any other events will be posted in our website. Please note that it is very important you notify Learna at least 24 hours in advance when cancelling or rescheduling a session. For the benefits of all students, we request that you please try and follow the schedule that you have specified for your child. No refunds or free make-up classes will be offered for days a child is absent without a prior notice. Unused hours can’t forward to the following month.

As per the “Terms and Conditions for the Enrollment,” the monthly tuition fee must be paid in advance, which is the beginning of each month. To avoid a late fee of $20, please make payment by the end of this week, December 9th, 2017. If you are unable to pay by the due date, please let us know in advance.

As per head office closings and schedules for winter holidays, the Meadowvale Learna Centre will be closed from December 25th to January 1st. We will resume classes on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018.
If your child doesn’t receive the guaranteed hours in December, please let us know so that we can reschedule the missed classes either before December 25th, 2017, or only in the first week of January, 2018. Please note that if your child is attending the center regularly, he or she always receives more than the guaranteed hours since most months have more than four weeks.

We are greatly thankful for your continuous support and commitment, earning the Meadowvale Learna Centre one of the best tutoring centres in Mississauga.

The staff at the Meadowvale Learna Centre wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday Season and a New Year filled with peace, good health, happiness and prosperity.
